Numora vs Spliit

Checked on 30 October 2026

Spliit is free, open source and asks for no account, which is a real plus if you hate signing up. Numora is free as well, and it adds a monthly budget, expenses typed in natural language and an AI assistant on top of the splitting.

Where Numora pulls ahead

  • Add expenses in natural language. Type an expense into WhatsApp or Telegram the way you'd say it and Numora adds it, without opening the app. Spliit doesn't have this.
  • Noo, an AI assistant. Ask Noo where your money goes or how you're doing on your budget and get a number, a chart or a list. Spliit's AI is limited to scanning receipts, and it has no assistant to ask.
  • More than a group tab. Numora also tracks your own spending, with a monthly budget and a stats view that shows every day on a calendar. Your own spending, your groups and your recurring bills share one clean home screen.
  • A reminder to log. The daily reminder, 8:30 pm by default, only goes off if you haven't logged anything that day. Whoever is owed can also tap Notify to send a push reminder.

Where Spliit wins

Spliit asks for no account and no ads, and its code is open for anyone to read. It splits by percentage and shares as well as by amount, and its beta scan can turn a receipt into an expense. Numora asks you to sign in with Google or Apple and runs on phones only.

Which one?

Choose Spliit for a quick group on the web where nobody wants to sign up. Choose Numora if you want to log expenses in plain language on your phone, keep a budget and ask an assistant about your spending.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add an expense in natural language?

Link your Numora account to WhatsApp or Telegram first. After that, type the expense the way you'd say it, like "Coffee 4" or "Dinner 1200 in Goa Trip", and Numora adds it and files it in the right category.

What is Noo, and who can use it?

Noo is Numora's AI assistant. It reads your expenses and answers with a number, a chart or a list. It is optional and only runs after you agree to it. It is for people 18 and over, it isn't available in every country, and it has a daily question limit.

Is Spliit really free?

Its site says "Open Source. Forever Free." with no ads and no account. The servers are funded by donations.

Other apps change their prices and limits often, so check their pages before you decide.
